Onyado Takayanagi, located near the 85th temple of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, Yakuji Temple, is a historic inn established in the early Meiji era, over 150 years ago. It has been supporting pilgrims for generations, with its name derived from the large pond in front of it, Takayanagi Pond. The traditional inn, with its ownership passed down through several generations, is known for its traditional Japanese rooms and a spacious communal bath made of Koyamaki wood. A notable discovery in the attic revealed votive tablets dating back to the late Edo period, highlighting the ryokan's deep historical connections to the pilgrimage.
