The rest area itself with water and toilets. is right by a very very busy road but there seems to be an access road down to the beach, which would probably be a nice quiet beautiful place to stop day or night. There are no signs indicating whether camping is allowed or forbidden, but there are no houses nearby once you get off the road and head down towards the beach.
