This place is in a super convenient location near Tokushima station, and was likely a 5 star place in its heyday. My bathroom had awesome tilework, and the wood finishes in the building spoke of bygone grandeur. It was quieter than many ryokans, which like minshuku often have thin walls. I couldn't get the air conditioning to work, which was probably me, I didn't ask for help with the controls, but opening a window proved unwise, I let mosquitoes in who harassed me on and off all night. Staff were very nice.
