A good little hut for lunch or foot repair during the day. It's far nicer inside than outside exposed to Highway 55.
There is the Sekishinkan Hospital about 600m to the north, which, if needs drive, has a toilet and water.
---oooOOOooo---
The day was warm and it drained my energy faster than I expected. Even when I sought a quick rest by going into a public hospital to use the toilet, I noticed the airconditioning was set warm, not cool, so even this break wasn’t pleasant. By one in the afternoon I had stopped for lunch at a modern Henro Hut by the side of Highway 55, drying out socks and feet and also doing a little bit of remedial repair on my tootsies. I had my rice ball and one cream bun. A second bun I gave to another Ohenro who, lucky for him, just happened to be passing at the time, though he was going the other way.

This little hut is right on Route 55, the busiest road in Tokushima Prefecture. No water, no toilet, no break from very noisy traffic.
