We loved this minshuku! Temple 17 is literally in its backyard. The owners are nice, and the place is very clean and well-run. It's a traditional spot, with tatami, futon, a tokonoma in the room, and a cute garden outside. The food was absolutely stunning. It was our first big, traditional Japanese meal since arriving and it was all delicious and beautiful. Still a highlight of the trip. I would recommend this stay to anyone.
The place is right next to temple 17 and the couple that run it are very nice. The home is lovely too and my room had views over the temple. Very big dinner and breakfast too. I wish I spoke better Japanese so I could have had more conversations with the other pilgrims that were staying there.
