A short distance from the main road. There is a restaurant "Odori" across the road which operates limited hours and limited days of the week. https://odori.kitchen/

It is about 500m from Yamagawachi station. The station toilet is locked up and no longer available for public use.

Lack of facilities and water means that it's not really a suitable place to stay overnight but it's probably a little more comfortable than the shelter just before the Hisawa tunnel.
